Author Interview: Ivy Devlin

Today we are happy to welcome Ivy Devlin. Ivy is the author of the upcoming novel, Low Red Moon.

Avery Hood is reeling from the loss of her parents–and the fact that she can't remember what happened to them even though she was there.

She's struggling to adjust to life without them, and to living with her grandmother, when she meets Ben, who isn't like any guy she's ever met before.

It turns out there's a reason why, and Ben's secret may hold the key to Avery finding out what happened to her parents…

But what if that secret changes everything she knows about–and feels for–Ben?

Describe your book in five words or less.

Murder, loss, lies–and love…

What has your road to publications been like?

Amazing! I was lucky enough to have Bloomsbury want the book, and they've been so supportive and wonderful. And the finished book is so pretty!!

How did the idea for "Low Red Moon" come to you?

I wrote Low Red Moon because I love the story of Little Red Riding Hood and one day I thought, "What if….?" and started writing.

The ending leads the reader to believe that we can expect to see a lot from Ben and Avery.

Can you give us any hints about a sequel?

Only that I hope there will be one! 🙂

What's it like hearing that readers are eagerly awaiting your book's release date?

Mind-blowing–especially since I didn't know anyone beside me was waiting for the book to come out!!

The cover is gorgeous! What was your reaction to seeing it for the first time?

Total and utter WOW!! And then I sent my editor a squee-filled email of thanks.

What is one question that you've always wanted to be asked in an interview?

I'd love for someone to figure out what the one word is everyone uses when talking about Low Red Moon–but that isn't in the book at all!
