I am a sucker for alien invasion books. I read book one, Invasion, last year and was pleasantly surprised by this series. And I just had to know what happened next.

Alienation was just WOW! I finished reading the novel a few days ago, and my thoughts are still with the book. It seems that there are plenty of YA science fiction-type reads for girls, but strangely enough not too many that cater to the male reader. This series definitely changes that.

The book picks up following shortly after the events of book one, Invasion. Dani, Oz, and Colt have been accepted into the CHAOS program. To be honest, most of this installment felt like a stepping stone type of read. BUT readers will finally get some of the burning questions answered that lingered from the first book. Why is Colt so special? And a better understanding of the world our characters inhabit.

Final Verdict:
For me, Alienation had just about everything that I look for in an alien invasion-type science fiction novel. Original plot.. great characters.. and a plot that will have you contemplating everything for days. It is rare to find books that I can recommend to young male readers, but this is definitely a series that has great potential.
