A Hero for Wondla by Tony DiTerlizzi
Series: Wondla #2
Published by Simon & Schuster Books on May 8th 2012
Finally, Eva Nine has gotten what she has always wanted: other humans. When she and her friends are rescued by Hailey, another human, Eva couldn't be happier. Now she has everything she has ever dreamed of. Hailey brings Eva and her friends to the human colony New Attica, where humans of all shapes and sizes live in apparent peace and harmony.
But all is not idyllic in New Attica, and soon Eva Nine and her friends realize that something very bad is going on--and if they don't stop it, it could mean the end of everything and everyone on Orbona.
Short & Sweet: Finally! The sequel to one of the greatest sci-fi adventure stories I have read. I was ecstatic to see this one was out because I absolutely loved the first book. Eva has finally found other humans and she is so happy to finally meet those of her kind. Unfortunately, New Attica is not all that it seems to be. Everyone dresses the same and she does not fit in as well as she thought. She also realizes there is more behind the man running New Attica, something that could very well destroy the other species on the planet. So Eva must try to save Orbona from being destroyed. I just love the characters and the plot of this book. I love the message it gives readers, that being different is good and you should embrace who you really are. The illustrations are glorious and I now want the next book now.
Final Verdict: For fans of great science fiction and adventure. Or Tony DiTerlizzi's illustrations. So beautiful.
