Life: Wow February was a rough month. Started off with a Bookfair, had my committee meeting, the weather was NUTS going from 40 to -40 within a week at times. Work has been busy and I still found lots of time to read and socialize about reading. I committed to a group called Book Battle on Facebook and had a blast participating in their book games. I also participated in Booktube Games which was fun but a bit full of drama… that was mainly based on twitter and if you have booktube (which I don’t).

Reading: I amazed myself by reading 37 books! Two were rereads – Black Magic Sanction and Strange the Dreamer and some were for my committee but still.. I read quite a bit!

I read 14 books for my committee and here they are:

  1. The Day You Begin by Jacqueline Woodson

  13. Cricket in the Thicket: Poems about Bugs by Carrol Murray
  14. Yasmin the Explorer by Saadia Faruqi

I read 23 books for my own pleasure! The only one I really disliked was Anna and the French Kiss – that book just was NOT for me.

Looking Forward: Well I’m trying to focus on health this coming month – getting to the gym more, eating healthy. I started a bit last month but am hoping to up everything. That will likely impact my reading, but I’m way ahead on my goal for the year so that’s okay. 🙂

Life: So February was a bit of a train wreck but it was also really nice. So we had inventory at work this month and getting everything ready for that was pretty stressful and busy. I also went down to my dads for like four days cause I had some vacation time. It was really nice getting to see him, my sisters, my stepmom, and one of my friends from high school. Seth and I also went and saw the new How to Train your Dragon movie and it was so cute and fun. I also did the Booktube Games this month which was a lot of fun and Team Hogwarts was so nice and supportive and I love the people I met through it. Also I rediscovered my love for fanfiction this month, like my obsession level has gotten to the point where I am reading fic everyday and I have started writing it again and basically Johnlock is ruining my entire life and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Reading: I read a total of 24 books this month which is still really good considering how much I had going on this month.

  1. The Traitor’s Ruin by Erin Beaty
  2. Manic Pixie Dream Boy Improvement Project by Lenore Appelhans
  3. Wicca for Everyday by Ann-Marie Gallagher
  4. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
  5. The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin
  6. Super Lovers Vol 1 by Miyuki Abe
  7. Super Lovers Vol 2 by Miyuki Abe
  8. Super Lovers Vol 3 by Miyuki Abe
  9. Super Lovers Vol 4 by Miyuki Abe
  10. Super Lovers Vol 5 by Miyuki Abe
  11. Super Lovers Vol 6 by Miyuki Abe
  12. Super Lovers Vol 7 by Miyuki Abe
  13. A Sorrow so Fierce and Falling by Jessica Cluess
  14. Super Lovers Vol 8 by Miyuki Abe
  15. Super Lovers Vol 9 by Miyuki Abe
  16. Super Lovers Vol 10 by Miyuki Abe
  17. Timekeeper by Tara Sim
  18. Geekerella by Ashley Poston
  19. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
  20. Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
  21. Tyrants Throne by Sebastien De Castell
  22. Burned by P.C. Cast and Kristen Cast
  23. If We Were Villians by M.L. Rio
  24. Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor

Looking Forward: So another thing I have been working on is getting a new job. I do really enjoy my current one but unfortunately there is just no growth opportunities there and I am just not making enough money to live comfortably. I actually got my new job today and I will be making a significant amount more than I do currently,  so I am really excited to start my new job later this month. Also something else I realized is that Seth and I are getting married May 2nd which is only 2 months from today’s date which is insane to think about. I think this month is going to really exciting and full of change.

I have The Lost Girl here ready to read soon and can’t wait. Warrior of the Wild kind of makes me nervous, but I think I’m going to try it as I’m really enjoying fantasy lately. I actually was challenged to read Anna and the French Kiss this past summer and I took it on a short vacation and really enjoyed the light read at the beach.
