Book Review: Killer Instinct

Killer Instict is the second book in The Naturals series, following Cassie, a girl who can profile people with ease. Part of a group of teenagers that the FBI has found and gathered together, she helps solve different crimes, especially those involving serial killers. Her own past with her mother disappearing via a serial killer brings the topic close at hand. Killer Instinct involves a copycat serial killer, one that is copying Dean’s father. Book Review: The Naturals

Book Review: The Naturals

The Naturals is about a group of teenagers who have natural abilities, ones that help them hunt down serial killers. Cassie’s own mother was murdered but her body never found. So Cassie jumps at the chance to be apart of a group that gets to help the FBI catch these killers. What Cassie didn’t expect is a number of things, like being distracted by two boys who are trying to catch her attention and a murder so alike to her mother’s, she knows it must be the same killer. Seeing as I’ve read Barnes’ books before, I wasn’t expecting what […]

Book Review: Nobody

Book Review: Nobody

Sometimes you go into a book knowing exactly what you are getting. Sometimes you don't. With Jennifer Lynn Barnes' newest read, I thought I knew what I was getting into. But I was wrong, oh so wrong. Nobody, on the surface, seems to be pretty straight forward. A secret society of people with a special weapon, a person (aka a Nobody) that can turn invisible, so to speak, fighting to stopping bad guys from ruining the world. Double Monster Review: Ever..

Double Monster Review: Every Other Day

I love Jennifer Lynn Barnes other novels, so when I saw this one, I was intrigued. I knew it was some form of paranormal and it looked pretty awesome, so I jumped right in.   This book just throws you right into the fray from the beginning. Kali is just your average girl, but only every other day. She's a hunter the other part of the time, taking down hellhounds and other baddies that feed on humans or look to harm them. So when she sees a girl with a sign that she's been infected with a life-sucking parasite, she […]

Book Review: Raised by Wolv..

Book Review: Raised by Wolves

Raised by Wolves is a fantastic coming-of-age story werewolf style. Barnes grabs the reader's attention and does not let go until the very last pages. With multiple twists and turns, this is a story that you will not want to put down until the very end. In the beginning, I was not too impressed with the plot. Something about the premise just did not spark my interest the way that I was hoping it would. Flash forward a few chapters, and my opinion completely changed. Raised by Wolves has a familiarity about it that at first may seem like the […]
