Reviews: Sweet Venom   * Review and Summary may contain spoilers from previous books of the series. Read at your own risk *   Short and Sweet:   Tera Lynn Childs has begun to be my go-to author when I need a read that I know I will enjoy. Even after reading a countless number of her books, Childs never fails to disappoint. Sweet Shadows was no exception.   Sweet Shadows picks up after Sweet Venom. Our three huntresses are beginning to see how deeply important their destiny is. Greer and Grace are still trying to come to terms with […]

Book View: Fins Are Forever

Book View: Fins Are Forever

Review: Forgive My Fins   Short and Sweet: Ever since I finished Tera Lynn Childs' Sweet Venom, I have been promising myself that I would go back and read her other books. Having breezed through Forgive My Fins a few nights ago, I was dying to dive back into Lily's world.   Fins Are Forever picks up where Forgive My Fins left off. Lily and Quinn are in the beginning stages of their relationship. And although she has promised herself to land, not the ocean, it is the ocean that keeps calling to her. Unsure of what to do, Lily does what comes naturally […]

Book Review: Sweet Venom

Book Review: Sweet Venom

Stories with myths have always been a favorite of mine. The Greek ones especially. Sweet Venom promises to turn the Medusa myth into something completely new, completely fresh. I am so there!   Although I have been eyeing the works of Tera Lynn Childs for a very long time, Sweet Venom is the first novel that I have ever read by her. After hearing so much praise for her other novels, I was excited to dive in.   Sweet Venom is told (eventually) by three POVs. At first, I was hesitant with the multiple POVs. Based on experience, I knew that either […]

Book View: Oh. My. Gods.

Book View: Oh. My. Gods.

Short & Sweet: I loved this book! Another audiobook that I listened while doing housework and it was a fun one to listen to! I love the mix of sports competition, blossoming love, and mythological gods. I still find it strange that her mom would marry a guy after only knowing him three weeks – kinda weird. Otherwise, fantastic read and one I highly recommend!   Final Verdict: A great read for when you need something a bit lighter and fun!

Book Review: Forgive My Fin..

Book Review: Forgive My Fins

I really love mermaids and have since I was a child. We had to buy multiple copies of The Little Mermaid because we watched it so much the VHS tape would get warped. At the beginning of Forgive My Fins, Lily has been sent to live with her aunt on land so that she can find a human she loves that will someday become her husband and live with her in the mermaid kingdom. She longs for it to be Brody, who she fell in love with when she first saw him swimming. Unfortunately, her pesky neighbor Quince keeps getting […]
