Book Review: Blood Rose Reb..

Book Review: Blood Rose Rebellion

Blood Rose Rebellion surprised me in a good way. I’ve read several books with similar themes – alternate London with magic, but then the plot headed us to Hungary, a mix of gypsy romance and magic that is not contained by the ruling class. Anna is our main character who was labeled at a young age as not having magic, but she ends up breaking magic instead, starting with her sister’s at her coming out party. Aurora Rising Book Review

Aurora Rising Book Review

This was a roller coaster ride. When it comes to space operas this particular writing duo seems to do no wrong. The plot was entertaining the whole way through, there was never a dull moment. I really love the way Amie Kaufman and Jay write together, you get a very similar vibe to The Illuminae Files but it is without a doubt it’s own story. When she finds out her grandmother is ill and may be on the verge of her deathbed, she heads out to gather ingredients for a cure-all spell. Instead of completing the […]

Ghostlight is the story of Avery, a girl who stays with her Grandma every summer with her older brother Blake. When he shuns her idea of keeping their imaginary Kingdom going, she finds herself befriending a boy named Julian, whose dad is a famous musician, renting out their cottage for a summer to write music. Julian is way into filmmaking and has his eyes set on the Hilliard House, an abandoned old house that gives Avery the creeps. She has her own history with the house that unveils itself during the novel. Avery is brave and decides to help Julian with […]
