Short & Sweet: An interesting look at the life of a teenage guy living in Texas. Border Crossing deals with issues like alcoholism, class differences, illegal immigration, and child abuse. I really felt for Manz, who never had an easy life and deals with so much throughout the novel. Final verdict: Not the happiest story, but a decent read in which the reader will really connect with the Manz's story.
