The Monster Report

report

Welcome to another edition of the Monster Report. The Monster Report explores the book happenings of Jessica and Kristen. Whether it be what we got in our mailboxes, what books we are currently hiding in, or fun stuff to look forward to this week at The Book Monsters, you can find it here. The Monster Report is inspired by Alea‘s This Week in Books, Tynga’s Stacking the Shelves, and Kathryn at the Book Date‘s It’s Monday, What are you Reading? Also, Teach Mentor Texts and Unleashing Readers also host a kidlit version of It’s Monday, What are you Reading?

Books added to TBR: None

Read this Week:

I had a very decent reading week and I really enjoyed everything I read. City of Ghosts was super cute, I really loved all the Harry Potter references. I gave it 3.5/5. Priory of the Orange Tree is a massive book but worth it. I have never read a dragon story quite like this before, the ending was a little too clean cut but other than that this book is an amazing ride. I also really enjoyed all the LGBTQIA+ characters. I gave it 4/5.

Books added to TBR:

The Mortal Word (The Invisible Library, #5) Vengeful (Villains, #2) Tris's Book Briar's Book Daja's Book (Circle of Magic, #3)

Moonlocket (The Cogheart Adventures) The Missing Barbegazi Finding Orion The Clockwork Ghost (York, #2) The Missing Piece of Charlie O'Reilly

Read this Week:

Cogheart (The Cogheart Adventures, #1) Girls of Paper and Fire (Girls of Paper and Fire, #1)

I will be reviewing Cogheart soon and am excited to read the sequel soon since I just received the arc. I really enjoyed Girls of Paper and Fire and cannot wait for the next on audio. There’s a lot of issues involved in this book and it’s not a light and recommended for older teens or adult readers.

Currently Reading:

Grasshopper Jungle The Mortal Word (The Invisible Library, #5)
