The Monster Report

report

Welcome to another edition of the Monster Report. The Monster Report explores the book happenings of Jessica and Kristen. Whether it be what we got in our mailboxes, what books we are currently hiding in, or fun stuff to look forward to this week at The Book Monsters, you can find it here. The Monster Report is inspired by Alea‘s This Week in Books, Tynga’s Stacking the Shelves, and Kathryn at the Book Date‘s It’s Monday, What are you Reading? Also, Teach Mentor Texts and Unleashing Readers also host a kidlit version of It’s Monday, What are you Reading?

Books added to TBR:

Read this Week:

So I finally finished A Crown for Cold Silver and it was really good for the most part. The ending dragged a bit and the book had a lot of characters and settings that had to be introduced and explained so I feel like the next book is just going to be a lot better, I gave it 4/5. Dark Magick was interesting, we have made it to a point in the series where someone you might have been rooting for has shown their true colors and it is kinda messed up. I also gave this 4/5. A Question for Holmes is the last book in the Charlotte Holmes series and I was loving it, until really close to the end and the bs the author pulled made me so angry. The very end was alright and I was satisfied but the stupid twist thing at the end just AHASKJDHASJD, it would have been a 5 star if not for that. Instead it got 4/5.

None.

Read this Week:

A Perfect Blood (The Hollows, #10) Caterpillar Summer

I really enjoyed A Perfect Blood and will continue the series on audiobook this year until I finish them. Caterpillar Summer was a touching middle grade story about family, autism, and friendship. It even made me cry at the end.

Currently Reading:

American Gods Dragon Pearl
