Welcome to another edition of the Monster Report. The Monster Report explores the book happenings of Jessica and Kristen. Whether it be what we got in our mailboxes, what books we are currently hiding in, or fun stuff to look forward to this week at The Book Monsters, you can find it here. The Monster Report is inspired by Alea‘s This Week in Books, Tynga’s Stacking the Shelves, and Kathryn at the Book Date‘s It’s Monday, What are you Reading? Also, Teach Mentor Texts and Unleashing Readers also host a kidlit version of It’s Monday, What are you Reading?

Read this Week:
I read a surprising amount of nonfiction but I am trying to better myself and my life this year. So many things in my life are great if I could just get fiances in order I know that I would feel significantly less stressed. This is How You Lose the Time War was incredibly weird and kinda hard to follow in the beginning but after a bit I was sucked into the story and I really ended up enjoying it, I gave it 3.5/5. The Music of What Happens was such an amazing read, I truly loved it. The characters were so memorable and the story kept me hooked to the point that I just had to finished it in one day, I gave it a 4.5/5.

Read these past Two Weeks:
I mostly read big chunky books, audiobooks, or graphic novels these past two weeks. I wanted to catch up on some short audible originals. Interview with the Robot was a really fun and action packed read, I enjoyed it! Peter Pan was classic and well done! Foreverywhere was not quite for me, it was a bit over the topic and fun but I just wasn’t in the mood for rainbows and unicorns I guess. Blood Heir was my one physical chunky read and I loved every page of it! It was really an amazing read! Fairest v.4 and 5 I finally finished the series and I’m sad because I’m out of Fables books to read now. I may have to reread now! The Starless Sea was a very twisty and time intersected book about books and mysteries and stories within stories. I quite liked it but it definitely tripped me up a bit. Wayward Son was such a fun romp and craziness – a fantastic audiobook as well. Minecraft is by the team the did Glitch which I LOVE and though I’m not a Minecraft person the story was cute and fun. It’s on my bookfair and my kids all were excited about it, so I gave it a quick read at lunch one day.
This week at The Book Monsters, we…
That is all for us this week. So until next week, stay scary Monsters.
