The Monster Report

Welcome to another edition of the Monster Report. The Monster Report explores the book happenings of Kate and Kristen. Whether it be what we got in our mailboxes, what books we are currently hiding in, or fun stuff to look forward to this week at The Book Monsters, you can find it here. The Monster Report is inspired by Alea‘s This Week in Books, Tynga’s Stacking the Shelves, and Sheila‘s It’s Monday, What are you Reading? Also, Teach Mentor Texts and Unleashing Readers also host a kidlit version of It’s Monday, What are you Reading?

I’ve read The Sky Raiders and The Lost Planet and wasn’t too impressed. On the other hand, I enjoyed Mortal Danger. I hope reading goes well for you this week. Come see my week. Happy reading!

Yeah, Kate warned me about what I would nitpick about Mortal Danger. I tried, I probably would have pushed further but I ranted to my husband for 10 minutes about it and he said “Just stop reading it then, if it’s that painful”. And yes, Julia’s House for Lost Creatures – I have petted it lots since it came. <3 Hatke

  2. Wow, lots of powerful reads here. I own a copy of Nancy Farmer’s multi-award-winning novel, but haven’t had a chance to read it yet. Linda Sue Park’s book looks beautiful too, thank you for sharing! 🙂
